What if?, Inc. has established a relationship with Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. (ESRI) that allows it to sell current estimates and five-year projections for the following population and housing data for all block groups, census tracts, and ZIP code areas in the United States:

These data are derived from an analysis of the 1990-2000 population changes at the block group level and the latest available data on population trends. The trends are measured from local estimates and from time series analyses of changes in residential delivery statistics from the U.S. Postal Service.

 

1990 and 2000 Census Data

These population and housing data are also available at an additional cost for 1990 and 2000. The 1990 data have been adjusted to correspond to the 2000 census geographic boundaries.

The employment estimates are based on InfoUSA’s comprehensive database containing over ten million U.S. businesses. The database is compiled from several sources including telephone directory listings, annual reports 10Ks and Section information, federal, state and municipal data, business magazines, newsletters and newspapers, and U.S. Postal Service information.

ESRI Community Data

What if?, Inc. has established a relationship with Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. (ESRI) that allows it to sell the ESRI Community Data that includes a variety of datasets to help companies and organizations analyze markets, profile customers, evaluate competitors, and more.

The Community Data includes:

  • Tapestry market segmentation data that divides all residential areas in the United States into 65 segments based on demographic variables such as age, income, home value, occupation, household type, education, and other consumer behavior characteristics.
  • Current-year and five-year demographic projections of demographic data.
  • Business, consumer expenditure, market potential, shopping center, and traffic data.
